This Thursday, December 17 catch a couple of films that put a unique spin on the holiday spirit starting with Humphrey Bogart in WE’RE NO ANGELS at 7:30 PM, followed by John Wayne in THREE GODFATHERS.
The American Cinematheque is giving away one year of membership FREE with the purchase of one year if you join by December 31, 2009. Membership prices will rise for the first time in many years as of January 1, 2010, as well as the ticket prices. Member ticket prices will remain the same however, so now is a GREAT time to join.
North by Northwest is now available in Blu-ray! In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock’s sleek masterwork, Warner Home Video performed a spectacular restoration, issuing a 50th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray and DVD. The special festival screening was scheduled the night before the November 3rd release, giving a few lucky people the first look at a Hitchcock film in a way it has never been seen before.
