A Lot Like Love (Buena Vista): Ashton Kutcher and Ali Larter star in this romantic comedy, arriving in theatres on April 22

Appleseed (Geneon Entertainment): This Japanime feature, based on a comic by “Ghost in the Shell” creator Masamune Shirow, will open in 70 theatres in major markets on January 14

D.E.B.S. (Screen Gems): Four Plaid-skirted schoolgirls are groomed by a secret government agency to become the newest members of the elite national-defense group, in this action/comedy opening March 25

Eros (Warner Independent): Three short films, one each from directors Michelangelo Antonioni, Steven Soderbergh and Wong Kar Wai, address the themes of love and sex, and open in select American markets on April 8

The Fog (Columbia): The second remake of a John Carpenter movie for 2005 (“Assault on Precinct 13” opens in January) will open in theatres October 14

The Ice Harvest (Focus Features): John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton reteam for this comedy about two desperate men, a dimwit lawyer and a strip club owner, who plan to swindle the Mob of some money on Christmas Eve. Film opens in limited release on November 4

Nanny McPhee (Universal Pictures): Written by and starring Emma Thompson, this family comedy, previously scheduled for a March 25 opening, has been moved to a 2005 to be determined slot

Oldboy (Tartan Films): Chan-wook Park’s Cannes Grand Jury prize-winning revenge thriller will finally open in the United States beginning March 25

Shrek 3 (Dreamworks): This third installment has been moved from November 2006 to May 2007

Valiant (Buena Vista): This British-made Disney animated film, featuring the voices of Ewan McGregor, Jim Broadbent, Tim Curry and Ricky Gervias, will hit American theatres on April 15

Waiting (Lions Gate): Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris topline this comedic look at the people who wait on you in restaurants, which will it serve itself upon theatres October 7
