Two sequels get release dates: The Ring 2, which isn’t expected to begin production until early 2004, is already set for release on November 10 2004, while Shrek 2 moves up four weeks, from June 18 2004 to May 21 2004

Fox
Two moves for the floodlights: Seeing the big green ogre muscling in on his territory, the fat tabby Garfield strikes back, abdicating its May 14 date for June 18. Also, the Denzel Washington/Dakota Fanning drama Man On Fire will now open on April 23

Paramount
Several tentative 2004 releases get specific release dates:

  • The Julia Stiles college rom-com The Prince And Me will open on March 12
  • Philip Kaufman’s police drama The Blackout Murders, with Ashley Judd and Samuel L. Jackson, once pencilied in for September 2003, is now scheduled for April 2
  • The whitewater rafting buddy comedy Without A Paddle splashes down on April 23
  • The live action/CG epic The World Of Tomorrow opens on May 14
  • The Nicole Kidman-led remake of The Stepford Wives will start its bake sale on June 11
